Material for Wales of Old?
You may have noticed that I have not uploaded any new feature onto Wales of Old since March 2002. This may prompt you to offer some of your own material, such as photos and scanned documents, for me to add to these Wales of Old pages. Unfortunately, at present I do not have time to develop any new pages for the Wales of Old feature. I already have enough material for sixteen new pages, and as each page takes me several days to design and create, it is difficult to find time to devote to this feature. Other features on my website take precedence.
Old Welsh Photos to Identify
You can enjoy many more old photos of Welsh ancestors on Diane Manley's website. Diane says:
|
Several years ago my father inherited a trunk from his uncle that contained numerous old photographs. He (with the help of relatives) has been able to identify several, but there are still many with no names. We believe them to be photos of his MORGAN and DAVIES (Davis) ancestors. It is also possible that some may be connected to the THOMAS or WILLIAMS surnames that married into the MORGAN and DAVIES lines.
The majority of the photographs were taken in Wales (that's where his father was born). The unidentified photos are displayed on our web site in the hope that people involved in Welsh research will check my unidentified photo pages to see if perhaps they recognize any of them.

Click on the link to "Unknown Wales Photos" on Diane's website at http://goldrush.com/~manley/ and see if you recognise any of the characters from her collection.
