Accessing the List
Access the individual sections of the alphabetical Welsh Ancestor List by clicking on the appropriate letter above. At the latest count (on 19 April 2008) the List documented 2,037 families, with an average of between one and two new entries being added each week. The Welsh Ancestor List database is updated several times per week.

Data Verification
Before incorporating any genealogical data from this list into your own family history, ALWAYS check with the submitter and satisfy yourself that his/her data are valid. In particular, ask for details of the sources of the data. If the submitter cannot cite proper references, the data may not be reliable. Please click here if you cannot contact the submitter.

Deleted Entries
In April, I completed the latest annual check on the validity of e-mail addresses linked to over 2,075 entries on my 'Welsh Ancestor List' webpages. The address check revealed 104 submitters' e-mail addresses which triggered "Undeliverable Mail" error messages. Consequently, I transferred the 142 associated entries from the main Welsh Ancestor List to a temporary Deletions List which was permanently removed from my website on 31st May.

Security
The Welsh Ancestor List files are encrypted (by HTML Guardian) before being uploaded onto my website. Encryption prevents the submitters' e-mail addresses from being harvested by web trawling robots, thereby reducing the likelihood of the addresses being subjected to "Spam" (junk e-mail) attacks.
The viewing frame may remain blank for a short time while the processes of downloading and decoding take place. The faster your computer, the more quickly will the decoding be completed. I would value feedback on any problems you encounter with the encrypted Welsh Ancestor List pages.
