Illuminated Address

This is the only surviving example in my possession of one of Dad's illuminated addresses.

It was done for the Birmingham (Handsworth) Division of the Boy Scout's Association, to commemorate those who lost their lives in the World Wars of 1914-18 and 1939-45. The work is 14" x 20" and is signed but undated.

Why the work was never delivered I can only guess. Possibly Dad was unhappy with the quality of the work, but I cannot fathom why.
